COVID 19 - Your Safety and Our Promise to You:
Our promise to you is to do everything necessary to keep the practice of Helmsley Opticians a safe and virus free zone. To do this we also need your help. We would be very grateful on entry to the practice building that you use the Alcohol Gel provided to sanitise your hands and to also wear a face mask please.
We are incredibly happy to announce that we have invested heavily in protective equipment to help keep you safe. This comes in the form of breath shields on all optical and eye testing equipment, so that you are protected when our specialists are assessing and caring for your eyes. Our Specialists will also be suited in surgical masks, aprons, latex free surgical gloves, and Face/breath shields for your safety.
Hygiene is key and we have invested in the most powerful coronavirus destroying alcohol gel to keep hands clean and safe. We also have the strongest antiviral Hospital grade surgical wipes to wipe all equipment and all touchable surfaces between each patient appointment.
To provide an effective layer of safety everyone who has an appointment booked will receive a telephone call the day before to be asked questions to identify if they have any possible symptoms of COVID-19.
We have implemented greater time spacing between appointments. This is to prevent the possibility of grouping of people within the practice and increase your safety meaning that you will not meet anyone else other than our clinician and colleague whilst at the practice. This will mean that less appointments are available in each clinic session, so we do apologise in advance if there is a little wait for a routine appointment, however, in these troubling times it is so important to prioritise your safety. Please note that any identified Eye Emergencies will not have to wait and will be seen the same day.
We politely ask that only the person who has the appointment attends the practice please unless a carer or parent is also required to attend. Everyone can gain access to Helmsley Opticians by contacting the practice by telephone beforehand so that an appointment can be made for you to access any of the eyecare services that you require.
We will ensure the maximum levels of achievable safety for everyone.
