Optical coherence tomography (OCT) uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your retina.
With OCT your Optometrist can see each of the retina’s distinctive layers. This allows us to map and measure their thickness. OCT can also map changes to the fibers of the Optic Nerve. These measurements allow for Early detection and diagnosis of Eye Disease, such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration (AMD), Diabetic and many other Retinal Diseases.
